Paralympians – 2012
1-Who are they?Definition?caregories?/how many?
They are disabled people who enters the Olympics
164 countries are involved in the Paralympics
Mentally challenged, blind, dwarfism, wheelchair, cerebral palsy, amputee

2-What challenges do they face? Personal/ social?
The long time they train, and saving money work hard
3- when did the Paralympics start?
It started in 1948 in uk

4-what have they achived since the start of the po? UAE athletes, since they started praticiating?

Support training in uae, they were supported with equipment’s, recognition by true athletes and they won 259 medals.

Vocabulary:

Disability: people who have a mind challenge or a physical challenge.
Amputee: a person who lost an arm or a leg…etc.
Cerebral palsy: brain disorder.
Intellectual disability: mental retardation.
Dwarfism: it’s genetic disorder which causes being a dwarf or dwarfed.
Multiple sclerosis: a chronic nervous disorder.
Congenital disorder: birth defect.
